THE COUNCIL CALLED THE CITY OF KALAMUNDA SMALL!

At a recent meeting of Council, ratepayers and eligible voters, the then Shire President said, "We are thought of by other cities, councils

shires and persons as being small while in fact we are generally larger than most cities.

My response to him drew applause from hundreds of ratepayers, namely, "If we are thought of as small by so many councils and government

agencies and groups in general then this is (after years of YOU being on council) your fault and apparently up to this point in time, you have done little to make people think otherwise."

The quality of our city is determined, not only by the number of people that we have within our boarders but by the services and clean environment that we offer our families, the friendliness and inclusiveness of our society; safety from dishonesty and crime. Being involved in and growing up with the Arts, the Sciences, Libraries, Exercise and Sport ... all within the City of Kalamunda should be an inspiration and a thrill for all of our people. And will be, but not while the negativism of the present council continues.

A vote for me is a vote for positive and inspired change. A vote for honest, hard working leadership. To this end I will be the very first councilor to donate ALL of the STIPEND to charities and to the poor but I sincerely hope that I won't be the last to do so.
